Textures
can be applied to entire brushes or to individual
polygons. Until you apply a texture to it, the brush or
polygon is only geometry and will not have a visual
appearance when your world is compiled and played.
Take the following steps to apply a texture.
- Display the Texture
tab in
the Project Window.
- Select the
appropriate textures directory in the upper pane.
- Select the desired
texture in the middle pane.
- In one of the view
panes, select the desired brush or polygon. Or
display the Nodes Tab and make your selection
there. You can also select multiple nodes.
Click Apply Texture on the
WorldEdit toolbar.
If the texture does not appear in the Perspective View pane, assure that you are in Textured
Polies shading mode as described in the Views section.
Hint: If you select the node before you
select the texture, you must return focus to the World
Editing window
before clicking Apply Texture. Do so by clicking once in
any view pane.
