WolfPro Released!

WolfPro Released!

Thu Aug 20, 2009 11:57 am

Hi there,

like promised the private beta is now public! We had to fix a few minor issues and added some new features like:
  • Objective wont be visible to the enemies through walls anymore
  • Reworked revive so that you have instant revive, but you will have to be closer to the one you revive (yes we listen, see!)
  • Nades wont fly over the whole map anymore, still they will fly further than the retail patch
  • HUD has been reworked, thanks to crumbs for the feedback
  • Respawn times had been reworked (thanks to the forums and irc spam)
  • Added some kind of cvar "hack" (read readme) to make it easier to change / test spawntimes
  • Added proper reload sounds for the weapons if you are in drawgun 0 mode
  • Fixed most leaf animation (this was broken in the beta)

the rest can be found in the changelog here: ChangeLog Wolfpro 0.1 Beta

Make sure to report back and remember! This is a beta, things can go wrong!

Other than that, gl hf and good fragging! #wolfpro

Quality stuff.

Whichever teams are working on the game's patches, NEED to get these guys in on the team of devs.

Already? I like the new HUD very much. It seems way less intrusive, and provides more info for the player. Do I see a respawn timer?? If that's the case then I'm excited! Can't really tell much from the map cleanup screenshot, though, but I believe every change you guys make will help improve this game.

Keep up the good work! :)

Sokal - Please include this in the next patch so it doesn't segregate new players that have never played in a competitive environment from playing competition. It will make the competitive community last longer with more new players filling the ranks.

Agree, it would be nice to have the community and id software working together on a competition mod.

And again, all is in hands of modders cause developers didn't bother to get a clue.

Great effort.
