Three
dockable toolbars are available in DEdit. Toggle the
display of each toolbar by selecting the appropriate item
on the View menu.
Main
Toolbar
The Main Toolbar provides the following selections:
- New
Project, Open Project, Save Project, New World:
Click to carry out the same actions as on the
File menu.
- Copy,
Paste, Stamp, Undo, Redo: Click to carry
out the same actions as on the Edit menu.
NodeView
Toolbar
The NodeView Toolbar provides the following selections:
- Single
Node, Multi-Node: Click to toggle
between single- and multi-node selection
capability. For more information, see the
Selection and Manipulation section.
WorldEdit
Toolbar
The WorldEdit Toolbar provides the following selections:
- Brush Edit,
Geometry Edit, Object Edit: Click to
toggle among editing modes. For more information,
see the Selection and Manipulation and Brushes
and Objects sections.
- Hollow:
When a brush is selected, click this button to
hollow it. For more information, see the Brushes
and Objects section.
- Shrink
Grid, Expand Grid: Click to modify the
granularity of the editing grid. For more
information, see the Views section.
- Shrink
Pixel, Grow Pixel: Click to modify the
pixel scale of the view panes.
- Apply Color:
When a brush or polygon is selected, click this
button to apply the currently-selected color to
its wireframe. To set the current color, select
Color Selection on the View menu. These colors do
not affect how your world is compiled or played,
but do provide a visual method for you to
organize geometries while developing your world.
- Apply
Texture: Click to apply the selected
texture to the selected brush or polygon. For
more information, see the Textures section.
- Center View:
Click to center all four view panes on the
selected brush or object. For more information,
see the Views section.
