But are also usefull for players. You can as example connect to a Server via the commandline without the need to browse through the ingame menus or set your PlayerName . 1.2 Example usage Some example how to pass commandline variables to the game exe . I yust cover 2 for now batch scripting and via the commandline interface . 1.3 Batch Script ---------------- The simplest way to pass the variables you use often to the executebal of your game is to use a simple batch script and execute it to start your server . heres example how to create simple batch script for Chrome 1: Open your favorite text Editor and create a new document (You can also right click in windows explorer and select "new -> Text Document") 2: Add the following to the textfile ChromeNet.exe -dedicated -lan -profile MyServerProfileFoldernameHere 3: Now Save as Dedicated-Server.bat to your game mainfolder 4: If you double click the yust created batch script Chrome Starts a dedicated Server in Lan mode with the profile MyServerProfileFoldernameHere 1.4 Command Promt ----------------- You can also use command promt to issue variables to the game executebal . Simplest way to open a command promt is to ... 1: Click on start windows button 2: Select Execute 3: Then type in "cmd" (without the brackets) Now a Black console window should appear where you can input your commands ... now you could type in X:\PathToChrome\ChromeNet.exe -dedicated -lan -profile MyServerProfileFoldernameHere Replace X with the harddrive device ID and PathToChrome with .... The path to chrome.. If you have a fairly long directory path to chrome you can also browse to the folder . So you only have to type "ChromeNet.exe -options -here" copy the directory path to your chrome folder from the windows explorer path display (Under menu) Then type CD "PASTE PATH HERE" (Right click+paste) honnestly if you don't know how to use the batch script . Im not going to explain this here any further ;) 1.x Command Line Variables Listning ----------------------------------- Most options are untested I only use server related variables atm . If i find the time I'll verify the client commands. 1.x Chrome ---------- ChromeNet.exe dedicated * Starts Dedicated Server server * Starts listen Server ? internet * Tells the Server to broadcast to MasterServer lan * Starts a Local Lan Server profile * Let's you specify the profile Ex: ChromeNet.exe profile PrivateServerProfile join * join 127.0.0.1:27015 Joins the specified server client * client 127.0.0.1:27015 Same then join autoplayer * for listen server autojoins to your own server after server startup nick * let's you specify your nickname pass * Let's you issue a password if connecting to passworded servers Example: You want to connect to a Server with password ChromeNet.exe join 127.0.0.1:27015 pass 123456 nick PlayerName Joins the server with IP 127.0.0.1 and Port 27015 with Password:123456 and sets your nickname to PlayerName 1.x Xpand Rally XpandRally.exe -dedicated -lan -profile avicodec *e.g. xpandrally.exe avicodec -server -dedicated -LAN -internet -join serveraddress -profile profilename -password password -ForceDefaultPort portnumber 1.x call of juarez -notrees -logmeshes -uieditor -autocodec -input= -avi= -wav= -recsound -play -play2avi -record -level -callcheataction -server -internet -nopostprocess -dedicated -nolocalplayer -join -autoplayer (blue red) -forcemaxplayers
