Techland, the developer of Chrome, published a stand-alone dedicated Chrome server today. This long awaited server enables player to host dedicated game for LAN and internet games and managing them through the game console.
Chrome stand-alone server runs on Windows operating system, but a port onto a Unix version is being prepared. The 120MB Chrome dedicated server file includes a game compatible with Chrome in 1.2.0.0 version and with the latest demo version. The server features 5 out of 19 official multiplayer maps. The remaining maps will be available soon as extension packs at the www.chromethegame.com making downloading and managing the server easier.
